A Scholarly Society Dedicated to Africana Receptions of Ancient Greece and Rome

Born from a desire for community, CONSTELLATIONS is a mechanism for collaborative work and support related to the study of Africana receptions of ancient Greece and Rome. Being in academia, especially as a member of a marginalized group whose interests challenge the parameters of a field or discipline, can be isolating, but it doesn’t have to be. By joining a CONSTELLATION, Eos members can give and receive feedback on term-long projects, goals, and problems they are experiencing without having to defend the value of their work or their presence in the field.
