Andrea Kouklanakis - Sensu Lato

Sensu Lato is a series of interviews that shines a light on scholarly contributions to studies of Classica Africana that originate in Latin America. Brazil is home to the largest population of African descendants outside of the continent itself. As such it is the perfect starting point for launching conversations about Afro-diasporic and Afro-connected perspectives on the ancient Mediterranean world. I hope that these conversations will help us as members of the society consider the epistemological and pedagogical possibilities that emerge from perspectives outside of Anglophone North America.
